The Pio Cesare holding was founded in 1881 from the great-great-grandfather, Pio Cesare, who was one of the first in the middle of 1800s to believe in the great potentialities of Barolo, Barbaresco and others big wines of Langhe. Since five generations the winemaking has been processed in the historical wineries in Alba.
